52018 was blessed with some of the nicest Northern California weather ever. So we layered up and hit the coast for the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Jordan Spieth was  defending his 2017 title, and as an AT&T sponsored player, his likeness was everywhere. The giant Spieth sign, where you could stand in the middle as the “I”, was a big hit.

In addition to the Spieth sign, AT&T gave away Jordan Spieth bobble head dolls, as they say, while supplies lasted. I have one on my desk and one still in the box. Bill Murray was of course on hand in in good form, along with an “A-list” of celebrities, and business leaders. The pro-football players, Aaron Rogers, Larry Fitzgerald, and Tony Romo, represented the NFL well, with Larry winning the hole in one contest on Wednesday, wow was that foggy!

All in all, it was a lot of fun, great weather lots of joking around and did I mention, Monterey! If you have never been to a pro tournament, I highly recommend one. Pebble Beach of course is iconic, and one of the true bucket list tourneys to attend. There is nothing like standing behind Phil or Dustin Johnson, and hearing and seeing their game up close.

My wife and I got two weekly tickets, that gave you access to any or all days of the tournament and practice rounds Wed-Sun. We went out Wednesday afternoon, got to the course and watched some of the pros and amateurs practicing. They also hold the hole in one contest on Wednesday. Folks who are out for some autographs love the practice round days, and the kids can usually get an autograph as well. We hit the opening round and all the players we wanted to see were at Spyglass. So, being veterans of the tournament, we headed for the 9th green, staked out a spot and waited for all the groups to come to us.

It was a great time, and how could it not, it is Pebble Beach!
